2023 Convention Update.

October 9, 2023

Greetings MVPA Members:

I’d like to report that our 2023 convention was a success in many ways. We had good attendance by members, guests, vendors, and vehicle owners. We also made over $9,000 for the MVPA-HA after all expenses.

After visiting with the members from the MVPA affiliate, Midwest Military Vehicles Association (MMVA), I can tell you that they are more prepared for the 2024 convention than I’ve seen in my past convention involvements. Some of their plans are presented to you in their article in this issue (“Land, Sea, and Air: Oshkosh Will Have a Bit of Everything in 2024”), but I assure you that these are just the tip of the iceberg. It will be a very exciting event. Be sure to offer your support to them and don’t hesitate to offer your contacts to them for ideas that will help the convention.

Keep coming and stay involved.

2023 Convention Update.

For our almost fifty award winners, at the convention, your wait for your plaques is almost over. The Ladies, at Headquarters, as they close out all the paperwork of th econvention, have sent your plaque information to our local engraver.  Once the plagues are returned, they will be combined, with your photograph and vehicle inspection sheet if applicable.  We expect that everything will be mailed by the first week of August.  If you have questions, regarding the information on your inspection sheet, please contactThe Judging Chairman, Mike Wright.  Once again, congratulations to all the vehicle participants and award winners.  Our 2024 convention will be at theExperimental Aircraft Association’s Airfield in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, 12-14September 2024.  This will be our first convention where military aircraft owners can fly directly to a convention!
