November Update
From the Convoy Project Management Office, led by Terry Shelswell...
- We have issued a 1st communications package to all interested participants.
- Currently receiving comments regarding timing for the Convoy. Main focus is June or September’09.
- Waiting for replies from Lincoln Highway Association to help understand other activities that are planned along the Lincoln Highway during the summer of 2009.
- The 2009 “Fleet Week” event in SF is planned to be held during 9 – 12 Oct’09. The 1919 Convoy arrive 5 days after the 1919 “Fleet Week” event started, although it was planned that the Convoy would arrive in SF before the ships arrived in SF Harbour.

- Art Pope has listed many of the towns along the route.

- We have a strong support from the Lincoln Highway Association (LHA).
- Beginning to define a merchandizing plan.
- We have an advertising plan that covers specific 2008 & 2009 HMV shows.
- We are preparing an application for an endorsement by the Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission.
